Writing Good Prompts
The synopsis is the primary input that determines your comic's quality. Structure it like a mini-script:
- Panel 1: Describe the opening scene: setting, characters present, initial action
- Panel 2-3: Describe the development: what happens next, dialogue exchanges
- Final panel: Describe the conclusion: punchline, twist, resolution, or cliffhanger
You do not need to label panels explicitly. The AI will distribute your synopsis across the selected panel count automatically. But being sequential in your description helps.
Style Keywords
Add visual direction keywords to your synopsis for better results:
- Camera angles:
close-up,wide shot,bird's eye view,over-the-shoulder - Lighting:
dramatic shadows,golden hour,neon-lit,moonlight - Mood:
tense,cheerful,melancholy,chaotic - Action:
mid-leap,running,sitting quietly,fighting
These keywords help the AI compose more dynamic and visually interesting panels.
Common Mistakes
Avoid these pitfalls:
- Too vague:
two friends talkgives the AI nothing to work with. Add specifics about where, about what, and how they feel. - Too long: keep synopses under 500 words. Overly detailed prompts can confuse the AI and produce inconsistent panels.
- Too many characters: comics work best with 2-4 characters. More than that and faces become less consistent across panels.
- Ignoring the art style: your synopsis should match your chosen style. A gritty noir story works in Graphic Novel but feels odd in Cartoon.
