How do I moderate a Group?
Group owners and moderators have access to a full moderation toolkit from the Group Settings → Moderation panel:
- Remove posts and comments — delete any content that violates group rules
- Mute members — temporarily prevent a member from posting (1 hour to 30 days)
- Ban members — permanently remove a member from the group
- Content filters — set up automatic keyword filters to flag or block posts containing specific words
- Approval queue — require new posts to be approved before appearing in the feed
Managing Members
From Group Settings → Members you can view the full member list with join dates and post counts. Use the search bar to find specific members. Click any member to see options:
- Warn — send an official warning (tracked in mod log)
- Mute — set a duration and optional reason
- Remove — kick from the group (they can rejoin unless banned)
- Ban — permanent removal with no rejoin option
Content Removal
When you remove a post or comment, the author receives a notification explaining which rule was violated. All moderation actions are logged in the Mod Log tab so your team can review decisions.
Tip Set clear, numbered rules in Group Settings → Rules so you can reference them when taking action. Consistent enforcement builds trust.
