How does the Feed work?
Overview
The Feed is a vertical, scroll-based content stream where creators and users share posts, highlights, and updates. Think of it as a social layer on top of the character platform — a place to discover people and content, not just characters.
Feed Tabs
The Feed is split into four tabs at the top of the page:
- For You — algorithmically personalized based on your interactions, followed creators, and conversation history. The more you use Dyva, the sharper this gets.
- Following — posts only from creators and users you follow. Chronological order, no algorithm.
- Trending — posts gaining the most engagement across the platform right now, regardless of who you follow.
- New — the latest posts in reverse chronological order from the entire community.
Posting Content
Any user with an account can post to the Feed. A post can include:
- Text (up to 1,000 characters)
- Images or short video clips
- Character highlights — share a memorable conversation snippet with one of your characters
- Links to character profiles or collections
To create a post, click the compose button at the top of the Feed or in the bottom navigation bar on mobile.
Interactions
Every post supports standard social interactions:
- Reactions — tap the reaction icon to respond with an emoji reaction
- Comments — leave a text reply on any post. Comments support threads.
- Share — copy a link to the post or share it directly to another platform
Suggested Creators
As you scroll, the Feed occasionally surfaces suggested creators — profiles the algorithm thinks you will enjoy based on your activity. Follow them to populate your Following tab.
Tip Follow a handful of active creators early on. It fills your Following tab with content and helps the For You algorithm learn your preferences faster.
Note The Feed is separate from your conversations. Posts you see in the Feed do not affect your character chats or credit usage.
