How do I create a Group?
Creating Your Group
Head to the Groups tab and click Create Group. Fill in the basics:
- Name — keep it short and descriptive (3-50 characters)
- Description — explain what the group is about
- Visibility — public, private, or invite-only
- Category — pick a topic tag so people can find you
You automatically become the Owner with full moderation controls.
Customizing Your Group
After creation, go to Group Settings to add:
- A banner image and icon
- Custom rules displayed to new members
- A pinned welcome post
- Default posting permissions for new members
Inviting Members
Share the group link directly, or use Group Settings → Invite to generate a shareable invite link with an optional expiration date. You can also invite specific users by searching their username.
Tip Write clear group rules upfront. Groups with visible guidelines attract better members and are easier to moderate.
