Yes. Direct messages on Dyva are private between you and the recipient. Our platform is designed with privacy as a core principle.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not read your DMs: human employees do not have access to message content
- We do not train AI on your messages: DM content is never used for model training or improvement
- We do not share your messages with third parties, advertisers, or partners
- We do not sell your data in any form
Security Measures
Messages are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256) on our servers. Access controls ensure that only the conversation participants can retrieve message content through the application.
Exceptions
The only circumstance where message content may be reviewed is in response to a safety report (for example, if a user reports harassment or threats). Even then, review is limited to the specific reported content and conducted by trained trust and safety staff.
