How do I report a character or user?
Where to Report
The report button is available in three places across the platform:
- Character profiles — click the three-dot menu on any character profile page and select Report Character
- User profiles — click the three-dot menu on any user profile page and select Report User
- In chat — click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of any conversation and select Report
All three paths open the same report form.
Report Categories
When filing a report, you will be asked to select a category that best describes the issue:
- Harmful or dangerous content — the character promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activity
- Impersonation — the character or user is pretending to be a real person without authorization
- Spam or scam — the character or user is distributing spam, phishing links, or deceptive content
- Harassment or abuse — the character or user is targeting, threatening, or harassing others
- Explicit content violation — content that violates the platform's content policy
- Intellectual property — the character uses copyrighted material without permission
- Other — anything that does not fit the above categories
You can add a written description to provide additional context. The more detail you include, the faster the review team can act.
What Happens After You Report
- Your report is submitted to the Dyva Trust & Safety team for review
- Reports are typically reviewed within 24 hours
- If the report is substantiated, action is taken — ranging from content removal to account suspension depending on severity
- You will receive a notification when your report has been reviewed, though specific enforcement details are not disclosed to protect the process
Anonymous Reporting
All reports are anonymous. The reported character creator or user will never see who filed the report. Your identity is not shared at any point during the review process.
Urgent Safety Concerns
If you encounter content that presents an immediate safety risk, report it through the standard flow and also visit our Safety page for additional resources and emergency contacts.
Note Repeated false reporting may result in restrictions on your account. Use the report system in good faith to help keep the platform safe for everyone.
