How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancellation Process
Go to Settings, select the Billing tab, and click Cancel. You will be asked to confirm. Once confirmed, your subscription is set to end at the close of your current billing period.
What Happens After Cancellation
- Immediate: Your cancellation is confirmed and no future charges will be made
- Until your billing period ends: You keep full access to all paid features
- After your billing period ends: Your account drops to the Free plan
What You Keep
Everything you created is preserved. Your characters, conversations, memories, and uploaded files remain intact. You simply lose access to paid features like voice chat, additional character slots, API access, and integrations.
Characters beyond the Free plan limit (1 character) become read-only. You can still view them and their conversations, but you cannot create new conversations with them until you upgrade again.
Marketplace Characters
If you are on the Creator plan and have published characters, they are unpublished from the marketplace when your plan drops below Creator. They are not deleted — they return to the marketplace automatically if you re-subscribe to Creator.
Resubscribing
You can resubscribe at any time from Settings → Billing → Upgrade. Your data, characters, and history are all waiting exactly as you left them.
Note There are no cancellation fees and no penalty for cancelling early. You paid for the billing period and you get the full billing period.
