You have full control over who can send you direct messages. Go to Settings → Messages → Privacy to choose your preference:
Everyone — any Dyva user can message you directly. Messages land in your inbox immediately.
People I follow — only users you follow can message you directly. Everyone else is routed to your Requests tab.
Nobody — all new incoming messages go to your Requests tab, regardless of whether you follow the sender.
Message Requests
When someone outside your privacy filter tries to message you, their message goes to the Requests tab. You will not receive push notifications for requests — they sit quietly until you check them. You can accept, decline, or decline and block from the Requests tab.
Changing Your Preferences
You can change your message privacy setting at any time. Changes apply only to new conversations — existing threads are never affected. If you switch from "Everyone" to "People I follow," your current conversations continue as normal.
If you are receiving unwanted messages from someone in an existing conversation, you can block them to prevent further contact.
