What voice options are available?
Built-in Voices
Every paid plan includes access to 6 built-in voices, each with a distinct tone and personality:
- alloy — balanced, neutral, versatile
- echo — warm, conversational, slightly lower pitch
- fable — expressive, storytelling quality, dynamic range
- nova — bright, energetic, upbeat
- onyx — deep, authoritative, calm
- shimmer — soft, gentle, soothing
Select a built-in voice from Character Settings → Voice. You can preview each voice before saving.
Custom Voice Clones
On Pro ($30/mo) and Creator ($50/mo) plans, you can clone any voice from an audio sample. This lets your character sound like a specific person, fictional character, or unique voice you have designed.

Changing Voices
You can change a character's voice at any time from Character Settings → Voice. The change takes effect immediately for all new voice conversations. Existing recorded messages keep their original voice.
No voice is assigned by default. If you enable voice chat without selecting a voice, the character uses alloy as the default.
