How do I connect Google or Discord to my account?
Linking Google or Discord to your Dyva account gives you faster sign-in options and access to connected features. You can link one, both, or neither — it is entirely up to you.
How to Connect
- Go to Settings and select the Security tab
- Scroll to the Connected Accounts section
- Click Connect Google or Connect Discord
- You will be redirected to the provider's authorization page
- Approve the connection, and you are sent back to Dyva
The link happens instantly. From that point on, you can sign in using the connected account instead of typing your email and password.
What Each Connection Does
Google — enables one-click sign-in with your Google account. No additional platform features beyond faster login.
Discord — enables one-click sign-in and unlocks community-related features. If Dyva runs events or integrations through Discord, your linked account is used to identify you.
Having Both Connected
You can connect Google and Discord simultaneously. Each works as an independent sign-in method alongside your email and password. Use whichever is most convenient at the time.
Unlinking a Connected Account
To remove a connection, go to Settings → Security → Connected Accounts and click Disconnect next to the provider you want to remove. Once disconnected, that provider can no longer be used to sign in.
If You Signed Up With OAuth
If you originally created your Dyva account by signing in with Google or Discord (rather than email and password), you need to set a password first before unlinking that provider. Otherwise, you would have no way to sign in.
- Go to Settings → Security → Password
- Create a password for your account
- Then you can safely disconnect the OAuth provider
Warning If you disconnect your only sign-in method without setting a password first, you will be locked out of your account. Always make sure you have at least one working sign-in method before removing any connections.
