How do I manage notification settings?
Dyva sends notifications to keep you in the loop on conversations, social activity, and platform updates. You have full control over what reaches you and how.
Where to Find Settings
Go to Settings and select the Notifications tab. All notification preferences are managed from this single page.
Notification Categories
You can toggle each category independently:
- Messages — new messages in your conversations
- Followers — when someone follows you
- Likes — when someone likes your character or content
- Ratings — when someone rates a character you created
- Announcements — platform updates, new features, and events
- Character nudges — reminders from characters you have not chatted with recently
Each category has its own on/off switch. Turn off what you do not care about, keep what matters.
Push Notifications
Browser push notifications can be enabled per category. When you first toggle one on, your browser will ask permission to send notifications. Granting access lets Dyva notify you even when the tab is not active.
If you previously denied browser notification permission, you will need to re-enable it in your browser settings before Dyva can send push alerts.
Email Notifications
Email preferences have three modes:
- Weekly digest — a summary of activity from the past week, sent once
- Important only — password changes, security alerts, and billing updates
- Off — no emails except critical account security notices
Muting Specific Conversations
If one particular conversation is too noisy but you want notifications everywhere else, you can mute it individually. Open the conversation, tap the menu icon, and select Mute. Muted conversations will not trigger any notifications regardless of your global settings.
Tip If you are getting overwhelmed, start by turning off Character nudges and Likes. Keep Messages and Followers on — those tend to be the ones that matter most.
